The software, used worldwide by airlines for check-in and baggage handling systems, was the target of a ransomware attack, whose perpetrators are officially unknown. The outage led to massive disruptions and flight cancellations at several European airports.
As Ross emphasizes, such scenarios can only be prevented through much more consistent cyber risk analysis and the use of powerful Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) solutions, such as those provided by asvin.
