Significance for the energy industry

The cooperation between ZENNER and asvin addresses key challenges in the energy industry. The use of digital solutions creates the transparency needed to achieve maximum efficiency in energy consumption in the long term – from generation and distribution to use. ZENNER already places a high value on data security in its products and services. The collaboration with asvin makes it possible to further develop these high standards and offer future-oriented solutions.

With their regulatory compliant cybersecurity solutions, Zenner and asvin are also focusing on APAC and US companies that want to prepare perfectly for success in EU markets with EU compliance (NIS2, Cyber Resilience Act or RED readiness). asvin software makes it possible to implement cybersecurity according to EU rules throughout the entire lifecycle of smart products. This includes the introduction of a cybersecurity management system, the prioritization and assessment of vulnerabilities, and over-the-air distribution of updates and security patches for smart end devices via wireless protocols such as Lora, 5G, WLAN and LAN.

Mirko Ross, CEO of asvin, emphasizes: “The collaboration between ZENNER and asvin demonstrates the importance of proactive cybersecurity in the connected energy industry. Our ‘Device Security Booster‘ enables IoT devices to be securely managed and updated throughout their entire lifecycle. This is crucial to address the growing challenges posed by cyber threats in critical infrastructures while meeting the requirements of upcoming regulations such as NIS2, CRA and AI Act, both nationally and internationally.”

Zeljko Petrina, Managing Director at Minol and CFO/CDO of the Minol-ZENNER Group, adds: “With asvin, we have the know-how to help our customers meet the complex requirements of cyber security even more comprehensively.”
